"Insatiable curiousity
drove me to learn whatever I could about playing guitar,
my first serious instrument.
I took lessons,
went to the local Library and read books on Theory,
focused on the hands of live musicians,
listened to hours and hours of music,
and played whenever I could.
My mother was able to
support my attendance to Berklee College Of Music in Boston,
where I studied Guitar, Composition and the greatness of
American Music and Jazz.
I was wise enough to recognize the amazing opportunity Berklee
offered me, and took full advantage of my education there,
graduating with honors.
When I heard about
Charlie Banacos,
I knew I had to study with him.
I got on his 3-year waiting list and was finally able to
begin my studies with Charlie in my last semester at Berklee.
As amazing and liberating as my college studies were,
Charlie took them to another level.
His ways of imparting knowledge and experience were gifts I
prospered from and have
always cherished.
Over the decades I have been
teaching, I have tailored the knowledge I gained in my studies
to the needs of my individual students.
The understandings needed to organize and target my lessons
enables me to effectively guide students to achieve success.
The right information, given in a pertinent and organized way and
with clear and patient explainations,
will save years of
searching and guessing about how to progress.
Life presented me with amazing gifts,
and as a music teacher I get to share those gifts with willing students
who love music as much as I do.
My good fortune is your good fortune!
I hope to see you online real soon!"
